Mr. Alfred K. Koala
Founder and President
Mr. Koala is the founder and president of Feeding Nations Through Education. Through faith, courage, determination and hard work, Alfred went from extreme poverty in Burkina Faso, West Africa to becoming an Information Technology Manager in California, USA. He believes in his God’s given calling of helping people help themselves and leads FNTE from the heart. Alfred learned English as his 3rd language, graduated with his bachelor in Accounting Information Systems from Chico State and with an Executive MBA from California State University, Sacramento. He has earned several awards including but not limited to the CSU Chico President’s Advisory Board Award, the City of Chico Mayor’s Award and VSP Global People First Award.

Debbie Morse
Secretary
Debbie graduated from University of California, Riverside with a BA in Biology. She worked as a Research Associate at University of Chicago and at University of California, Los Angeles. She is currently an Executive Distributor at It Works Global. Her community involvement includes serving as President of the PEO Chapter JU, Sacramento. She is also an executive team member of the Luis Palau Festival in Sacramento. Debbie and her husband Larry, MD took several trips to African nations including Burkina Faso with Mr. Koala on the first FNTE trip to provide medical assistance, an eye glass clinic. For Debbie, FNTE is a life changing organization.

Randy Stark
Treasurer
Mr. Stark is a 1979 graduate of California State University, Chico, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He has owned American Business Service in Chico for over 25 years, which is a bookkeeping, payroll and tax service for many local small businesses, nonprofit organizations, churches and individuals. Randy and his wife Linda feel blessed to be part of such a practical solution working to end poverty in the most destitute places of our planet.

Dr. Raymond F. Boykin
Board Member
Dr, Raymond F. Boykin is a retired Research Professor from Virginia State University in Information and Logistic Technology and Professor Emeritus, Supply Chain Management at California State University, Chico. Ray has been involved with foreign missions since the middle 1980s with multiple trips to Mexico and more recently traveling to West Africa (Sierra Leone) to help build an elementary school and church, conduct pastors training, and help develop long term ministry plans. Ray is very excited to bring his experience to help FNTE accomplish its sustainable mission. He resides with his wife Shelley in Prince George, Virginia.

Jacklyn Baily
Board Member
Jacklyn graduated in 1968 with a BA from California State University, Chico. She operated her own daycare where she taught preschoolers and retired in 2005. She is a mother of three children, seven grandchildren, and currently the administrator of City Light Church in Chico. She has an amazing passion and love for children and enjoy teaching Sunday Schools. Jacklyn co-led several mission trips to Mexico, Guatemala where her service included assisting orphans, aid at children hospital and building homes for the poor. Her recent trips were to Burkina Faso with Mr. Koala and is now on board to make a lasting difference in the lives of less fortunate children in Africa. Jacky believe that FNTE is the practical solution each country needs.

Mr. Boureima Tonde
National Coordinator, Bukina Faso
Mr. Tonde is a Telecommunication Service Chief at SONABEL, Burkina Faso. He is also a Deacon of Wend Panga Church, devoting his life in the ministry of helping the needy. Mr. Tonde (baptized “Uncle Tonde” by Alfred) loves FNTE approach of helping people and works with his local team to further FNTE projects of development in Burkina Faso. Boureima and his wife Awa witness poor people being transformed into givers through FNTE pay-it-forward programs in Burkina Faso.

Ashley Koala
Executive Administrator
Ashley Koala is a Certified Seed Program Representative for California Crop Improvement Association at UC Davis. Ashley lived in Southern Africa for almost two years where she discovered her passion for agricultural development in Africa. Upon returning to the United States, she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science from California State University, Chico in Crop Science to enable her to help make a difference in the impoverished nations of Africa. Alongside her husband, she works to further FNTE’s mission of education and training in sustainable agricultural practices to eradicate poverty and promote economic growth.

Michael O. Harvey
Legal Advisor
Michael Harvey is retired Attorney, a U.S Army Security Agency Veteran, an L.A Co. Deputy Sheriff/Detective, retired and formerly Deputy County Counsel. He has practiced Law for the past 33 years, throughout California and now dedicating part of his time in helping FNTE act within laws and regulations as we strive to make the lasting difference in our communities. FNTE’s approach is factual with proven results and I am proud to serve.

Francois Nze
Social Media Manager
Francois graduated from San Jose State University with a bachelor in International Business and a minor in Spanish. He works as a Growth Strategist for Google in San Francisco. Francois and his wife Victoria also run a small creative agency helping small businesses and non-profit tell their story through branding. We attended a FNTE fundraising banquet and were blown away by the ingenuity of the organization. It empowers thousands of families to become fully economically independent. Being from Ivory Coast myself, FNTE mission spoke particularly to my heart. So, I joined the team to make a long-lasting difference.

Paul Beretta
Board Member
Paul is an Account Manager at ABM. He live with his wife Sandy and their three children in Sacramento, CA. He first heard of FNTE from one of his customers in Sacramento. Paul later met and traveled with Alfred to Burkina Faso on one of FNTE service trips. He served with the team on installing solar panels at FNTE school (ISB) in Burkina and plans to go again. “My experience in Africa was amazing and indescribable. The need is real and I have never seen a practical way of redressing poverty than FNTE’s strategy. I am so glad I get to serve people with such a great team.
